Description
This is an "ATC" or "Artist's Trading Card", prepared in Ink, Colored Pencil, and Acrylic Paint on Bristol.
ATCs are a popular new trend where artist's sell original works (most often on ebay) of a small collectible scale (3.5"x2.5", standard trading card format) that are small enough and affordable enough that individuals can buy/sell/trade with one another and amass collections of *original works of art* to be displayed in trading card books.
A friend recently introduced me to this fun new hobby, and I have made a dozen or so of these trading cards which have recently sold on ebay.
ATCs (also sometimes referred to as ACEO or Artist Collectible Editions and Originals) are a great way for people to collect miniature original works of art! The artist retains all copyrights, the collector merely owns the original work.
A search on the WWW or on Ebay will reveal thousands of ATCs from many different artists in a wide array of mediums.
